Medical device automation
Automatic construction is not just for your car anymore. With
significant debate through out the years, Medical Device Automation has
been taking a greater hold in the manufacturing industry.
With the precision and accuracy that has become known in so many other
industries, machines are being designed to put the medical devices,
which are so desperately needed by many, together. This course of
action has had an impact on the industry as a whole, however the
medical device automation has taken its time getting a complete
foothold in the industry, particularly with the medical device
companies who provide the highest quality products.
You may wonder why it took so long for the medical device industry to
seek complete automation, and automation improvements. The concerns in
the manufacturing side have been for patients who received the devices.
Many of those who put together the products often do so with great care
and quality assurance expectations. There has often been great debate
about the ability of the mechanical employee to assure as beneficial
quality as the human employee. Machines have been a significant aid in
the industry for many years, just recently however have they been
converted into the primary tool for putting the devices
together.

One of the other major factors in
a manufacture choosing to automate their production line is the ease
and simplicity of switching from one product to another in as little
time as possible. They want to be able to go from product one
to product two without having to completely switch their production
line. This allows them to save both time and money.
In cases as these it was more cost effective to go with animating
systems then to keep the man power.
There are many jobs that automation can play a big part in.
If you take a look around you, you will see that more and more
companies as well as peoples homes are being automated ,making life
just a bit more easier. It can help free up your time and
allow you to do other things that you didn't have the time for before. |

A programmable logic controller and a programmable automation
controller are programmed differently. Ladder logic is used to program
the programmable logic controller, which is a graphical program
language that resembles the rungs and rails of a ladder. This is
designed to imitate old relay electrical wiring diagrams. A
programmable automation controller uses a much more generic kind of
software tool that allows the program designed to share with many
different machines, HMI terminals, processors and/or any other
components that are in the system's architecture.
I/O scanning and programmable automation controllers are also
different. Where programmable logic controllers scan all I/O inputs of
the system at high speeds, programmable automation controllers make use
of just a single logical address and tagname database system to
recognize and locate I/O points where needed.
